New Innovations

As technology advances and improves, so does the ABM/NAMA club. Not only is our career fair fully student run, but the technologies used are fully incorporated by students as well.

This year, our Ag Showcase Chairman, Jack Busch, has brought in new software programs such as Wix, Mailchimp, and AllSeated, while building on softwares known to the club such as Canva and the Microsoft Office Suite.

Mailchimp is a marketing automation and email marketing platform used by our Ag Showcase chair to send out important information such as save the dates and registration info. He can also use the software to automatically send emails for him while he is studying abroad in Spain this summer!

Canva is an Australian global multi-national graphic design platform that is used to create social media graphics and presentations. Over the past few years, our Ag Showcase Chairs have used the software to create our student packets with all of the information regarding Ag Showcase and companies in attendance.

AllSeated is the event industry's #1 event planning platform when it comes to mapping out venues. Busch has been able to use the software to get a perfectly to scale layout of the Cal Poly Farm Shop – Ag Showcase venue. He then used the program to maximize space and layout of the farm shop to allow for the highest possible attendance while maintaining fire safety codes. He is then able to see a real time 3D rendering of the space and get a feel for how the event will look in person.

The ABM/NAMA Club continues to promote Cal Poly's "Learn by Doing" motto, and the implementation of new softwares is just one example of our students at work!
